Botulism Vaccine for Cattle, Horses, Mules, Sheep and Goats is a formalinised aluminium hydroxide gel adsorbed toxoid vaccine containing Clostridium botulinum Types C and D. It is indicated for the active immunisation of cattle, horses, mules, sheep and goats against botulism (lamsiekte), helping to reduce losses associated with this potentially fatal disease.

Directions for Use

Use only as directed.

Vaccination Programme

• Animals not previously vaccinated should receive 2 injections at an interval of 4–7 weeks.
• Thereafter, administer 1 annual booster vaccination.
• The second vaccination is essential for optimal immunity.

Storage / Other Instructions

• Store refrigerated between 4°C and 8°C.
• Do not freeze.
• Protect from direct sunlight and excessive heat during use.
• Shake well before use.
• Do not use after the expiry date.
• Sterilise syringes and needles by boiling in water for at least 15 minutes.
• Use a separate needle for each animal.
